Get familiar

Look at the available practice style with your teacher. Knowing the procedure can help the day feel less unfamiliar.

Think independently

Every pupil chooses their own answers. The supervising teacher can explain how the sitting works.

Enjoy discovering

An unfamiliar topic can become a new interest to explore after the Challenge.

Entered through your school

Your place in a national Challenge.

Pupils enter individually. Your school chooses how many eligible pupils participate, with no fixed team size and no normal central travel.

See the school steps
  1. Your school enters you. The organiser confirms eligibility and orders the individual pupil entries.
  2. A teacher supervises. Take the Challenge independently in a suitable room at school.
  3. You receive your result. Your teacher can provide it after release, with available awards or documents.

Access arrangements

Schools should plan support early. Authorised timing or display arrangements are set by school staff and do not change the academic standard.
