BMSAQ encourages pupils to explore subjects they may not meet in one lesson or syllabus. Each pupil takes part individually and can be recognised for their own achievement.
Created with education in mind
Founded in 2023 by National Organiser Ben Mooney, BMSAQ builds on his experience co-organising the UK Schools Challenge in 2022/23.

BM Schools Academic Quiz gives pupils a national academic challenge within the familiar setting of their own school. Teachers organise the occasion; each pupil answers independently.
The value is in breadth: noticing connections, testing what you know and finding something new to explore.

School supervision, clear eligibility and individual answers underpin the Challenge in either supported format.
Released results return privately to the school and, where used, the pupil’s own Student Account.
